Ashley Graham from Oh Deer Photographyis a photographer that I really admire, so whenever she hosts a styled shoot or workshop, I make sure to attend. This month she hosted two styled shoots at Blystone Farms in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The themes were Boho and Winter Wonderland. I really love how her vision came together.
Blystone Farms is a newer wedding venue that has the perfect amount of rustic charm. If the barn had been finished when I was looking for a venue, then I would have definitely gotten married there. It is heated and has a huge, beautiful fireplace and traditional barn doors on most of the walls. When I first stepped out through those doors, I was speechless. There are two arches surrounded by fields that make stunning ceremony locations. We heard cows the whole time we were shooting outside and they even made an appearance at one point. During harvest season the fields are full of corn. I’m not sure about any other photographers, but I love wedding photos in corn fields! It must be the Ohioan in me.
The gowns were designed by Lisa Emerita. She did an amazing job and I think both dresses fit the theme so well! Le’Reve Makeupdid Jesse’s hair and makeup for the Boho styled shoot. I really like how moody the look was and she pulled it off so well. Beauty Conciergedid Sara’s hair and makeup for the Winter Wonderland shoot. Her hair was a dream and I love the lighter, more natural look she was rocking.
Rings are one of my favorite things to photograph, so I really enjoyed shooting all the jewelry from Worthington Jewelers. The rings were to die for and I think most of us gasped when we saw them! The invitation suite was designed by Ampersand and Design. I love all her work and it makes me wish that I had an invitation suite for my own wedding. They’re great to include in detailed shots of the rings.
The officiant was Windi from Run to an Elopement. She even married both couples on their wedding day! Windi is super sweet and I enjoyed hearing about her passion for being an officiant- she marries everyone including LGBTQ couples.
I’ve been to a couple of styled shoots this year and this one was by far my favorite! I love to work alongside other amazing photographers and see so many different vendors come together to make a vision come true.
