Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to capture a beautiful elopement at Ash Cave in Hocking Hills. Elopements are something I truly love, and they've quickly become one of my favorite types of weddings to photograph. There's just something so peaceful and intimate about them, and Ash Cave is the perfect setting for that.
Ash Cave is one of the hidden gems in Hocking Hills for elopements. It's not as busy as Old Man's Cave, especially if you go around dinner time. So it makes it an ideal spot for a private ceremony. There is a flat area right in front of the waterfall that is perfect for a ceremony and when the waterfall is flowing, it adds an extra touch of magic. Unfortunately, when Amanda and Ken's elopement took place, we were in the middle of a drought, so the waterfall was dry. But honestly, it was still so beautiful without it.
Amanda and Ken are so kind and their vows were so heartfelt. I love when brides tear up doing vows! They chose Windi, from Run to an Elopement for their officiant and as always, she did a phenomenal job. It was such a joy to witness and capture their special day.
Elopements like this one are something I hope to continue photographing more and more. There's a certain magic about these intimate ceremonies surrounded by nature, that I feel honored to be a part of. I'm beyond thankful for the chance to document Amanda and Ken's elopement!
