When booking a session or wedding, a common question I get is "How many photos will I recieve?" I don't have a set amount for each, because every wedding and session is unique. I do, however, have set minmums to ensure you get a beautiful, well rounded gallery. Here's what you can expect based on the type of photography you book with me:
How Many Photos Do You Get for a Wedding?
The number of photos you'll get depends on the length of coverage and the flow of the wedding day. For example, if you happen to have wedding party memebers or guests who are unwilling to have their photo taken or are late to set portrait times, then the amount you recieve could be less. It also depends on how many things you have going on: a bigger wedding party, multiple first looks, and a reception full of special events is going to get you more photos then a wedding where there are no first looks and no wedding party.
6 Hour Wedding Coverage
Minimum 500 images
Typically deliver closer to 800 images
Best for smaller weddings or weddings with a simple timeline
8 Hour Wedding Coverage
Minimum: 700 images
Typically deliver close to 1,000
Best for full day coverage, including getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and reception. Also great for first looks!
What Affects the Number of Photos You'll Receive?
I try to deliver as many beautiful moments as possible, but several factors influence how many we are able to take like:
The number of events happening throughout the day
The size of your wedding party and guest count
Whether or not you have a second photographer (all my collections come with one, but there is the option to take it off)
How much time there is for portraits and candid moments
How long your ceremony is
How Many Photos Do You Get for A Family Session?
Like weddings, every family session is different, but here is a general guide:
Mini Sessions
Guaranteed minimum: 50 images
Option to purchase additional images beyond the guaranteed amount
Full Family Sessions (1 hour+)
Minimum: 80 images
Typically deliver over 100
Best for families who want a variety of images, multiple groupings, or have a baby or young toddler who may need more time to warm up
