Lindsay and Phil's Wedding - Somerset, Ohio

Lindsay and Phil tied the knot at a beautiful barn that is family owned in Somerset, Ohio. Lindsay and Phil put so much love, effort, and details into their wedding day; everywhere I looked, there was another detail to photograph! From custom koozies to a handmade champagne wall. I loved it! It was so much fun being able to walk around and see all the hard work they put into their big day. My favorite detail was the beautiful chandelier they hung from the rafters. The dance floor was directly under that and it made the formal dances so pretty and intimate!

Lindsay’s father was unable to be at the wedding physically, but he was there in spirit; they honored him in so many ways! Lindsay had a framed photo of him and her when she was younger on the first pew. Her mother held it out as Lindsay’s brother walked her down the aisle. It was a really sweet moment. Lindsay also took some time to step away from the hustle and bustle and visit his gravesite. I was honored to be there and photograph such a special moment for her.

Instead of a father daughter dance, Lindsay danced with her brother to “You Should Be Here” by Cole Swindell. It was super emotional and a great way to honor their dad! I looked over at their mom during the dance and she was tearing up. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is all the love you feel. Not just love between a couple, but the love the family has for that couple. It’s truly amazing. Phil’s dad officiated their wedding and Phil also had a great dance with his mom. I really loved how involved their family was.

Lindsay and Phil ended the night with a firework send off! I snapped a few photos and then spent the rest of the show enjoying the fireworks. I’ve photographed a lot of sparkler exits, but never fireworks; so that was something that was outside my comfort zone. I’m really proud of how the photos turned out.

Thank you so much Lindsay and Phil for allowing me to photograph your big day! It was truly an honor.
